Adirondack Brewing Company

In 1996 the Kane family started the Lake City Brewing Company at the Great Adirondack Steak & Seafood Restaurant in Plattsburgh, NY. In 1997 the brewery was moved to our main restaurant in Lake Placid and the Great Adirondack Brewing Company was born. Our 7 barrel stainless-steel brew system was custom manufactured for us by JV Northwest, Inc. in Oregon and is now housed in a separate building directly behind the restaurant.

Our seven barrel stainless steel brewhouse produces a wide range of ales and lagers year round using the finest imported and domestic ingredients available. Our commitment to quality, consistency, and continued brewing knowledge has garnered us several awards through the years and is evident in the final product—the fresh pint poured off our taps.

We are currently producing 350 barrels of hand crafted beer per year. This works out to approximately 10,850 gallons, or 86,800 pints of beer per year! We pride ourselves on creating small batches of hand crafted ales and lagers covering a variety of beer styles. Our wide range of styles and ever-changing lineup of beers allows us to have something to please every palate. Come to Lake Placid and give us a try, you won’t be sorry!
