Red Wulff Red Ale
The Ausable Wulff Red Ale uses five different types
of English malt producing a ruby red hue and a body
that is sweet and complex to the palate. Balanced
with Fuggles, Target and East Kent Golding hops,
this red ale is an authentic example of the English
style of brewing. This ale is named after a trout
fly (The Ausable Wulff) that is used worldwide by
fly fishermen. Francis Betters, designer and world-renowned
fly fisherman, lives here in the Adirondacks.
Rich, chewy and full of smoky flavor, this rare
style of beer pays homage to the early history of
brewing. A blend of crystal malt is hand smoked
over wild cherry, southern pecan and Adirondack
maple wood. Enjoy a robust, sweet, but surprisingly
smooth chocolate porter.

Pleasantly bitter, the John Brown Pale Ale finishes

and maturation. Our pale ale is named after famed
abolitionist, John Brown, whose farm and gravesite
are located adjacent to the ski jumps off Route
A "must" stop during your visit here.
Stylewise, this is a Belgian ale -- 6.9% ABV (no
wonder it's so
popular.) Considered by many master-brewers to be
the most complicated, complex and rich style of
brewing in the world. This "dubbel" uses
pure Belgian candy sugar, Belgian malts, and a rare
Belgian strain of brewer's yeast that produces "esters"
-- flavors that range from clove to spice and banana.
